Appetite-Control Beet Smoothie

Curb your cravings the healthy way with our Appetite-Control Beet Smoothie. Our good-for-you beet smoothie beats the regret-it-later, low-nutrient favs that we so hate to love. Potato chips, cookies, candy bars, and the like may seem like safe options to hold you over until your next meal. But their low nutritional values can make you feel even hungrier. Your body senses the profound lack of nutrients and amps up the hunger cravings a short while after. When you finally make it to your protein meal, you end up wanting larger portions to compensate for the perceived lack of nutrients.

This Appetite-Control Beet Smoothie, on the other hand, is a blend of natural appetite suppressants that tame your between-meal cravings better than junk food ever could. Beets, carrots, turmeric, and apples make you feel fuller longer, while a burst of antioxidants top up your nutrient reserves. So when your major mealtime comes around, you will be more compelled to ingest smaller food portions. And don’t be surprised if you feel full enough to skip a meal after you down our Appetite-Control Beet Smoothie.

Appetite-Control Beet Smoothie

  • Servings: 1
  • Ready In: 5 minutes

  • 4 yellow beets
  • 4 carrots
  • 1-inch piece turmeric
  • 2 green apples

Health Benefits

  • Yellow beets: are low in calories and high in fiber. You don’t need to consume much of this vegetable to achieve fullness.

  • Carrots: in blended form tend to induce higher satiety levels than eating whole carrots. This may be due in part to a higher propensity for nutrient absorption and ease of fiber digestion with blended forms.

  • Turmeric: contains curcumin, a potent compound that possesses superior appetite-suppressant attributes.

  • Apples: are excellent sources of feel-fuller-longer fiber. Additionally, pectin in green apples is particularly suitable for preventing sharp rises in blood glucose. Sugar highs and sharp lows can stimulate an erroneously perceived need to overeat.

  1. Peel and chop 4 yellow beets and place into a blender.
  2. Add 4 carrots, rinsed and chopped.
  3. Add a 1-inch piece of turmeric into the blender.
  4. Core and rinse 2 green apples and place them into the blender.
  5. Blend the ingredients until the contents are smooth.
  6. Pour and enjoy!
