Asian Style Apple Smoothie

Spirulina is a blue-green algae that’s considered a superfood because it’s loaded with essential vitamins and minerals and helps to detoxify your body. Coconut water is refreshing and rich in potassium. And finally, honey contains powerful antioxidants.

Asian Style Apple Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 green apple, skin-on, sliced and seeded
  • 1/2 cup organic edamame, shelled and cooked
  • 1 handful mixed greens
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina crunchies
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1 cup coconut water

Instructions

  1. Boil 1/2 cup of edamame for around 5 minutes, and let it cool. Then, shell the beans, and place them in the blender.
  2. Slice and seed 1 green apple, and place it in the blender.
  3. Add 1 handful of mixed greens.
  4. Peel a 1-inch piece of ginger and add it to the mix.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of spirulina crunches.
  6. Scoop in 1 teaspoon of raw honey.
  7. Add 1 cup of coconut water.
  8. Blend all the ingredients.
  9. Drink up and enjoy new flavors!
