    • Servings: 1
    • Ready In: 5 minutes

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup frozen organic orange juice "ice" cubes
    • 1/2 cup frozen organic milk or coconut milk "ice" cubes
    • 1/3 cup organic milk or coconut milk
    • 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 scoops hydrolyzed collagen
    • 1-2 tablespoons raw honey
    • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
    • 2 half slices orange
    • 1 teaspoon cacao nib, crushed

    Health Benefits

    • Oranges: are famous for copious portions of vitamin C known in the scientific community to support neurogenesis, myelin formation, and neuronal differentiation.

    • Organic milk: gangliosides in organic milk are found in human nerve tissue and play an important role in neonatal brain development.

    • Coconut: discourages neuronal death. It contains protective compounds that help thwart neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

    • Cacao powder and cacao nib: are full of flavonoids—antioxidant molecules that attenuate mental fatigue and improve cognitive processes to a minor degree. Flavanoids, in the form of epicatechin, cause widespread brain perfusion while initiating neurogenesis mainly in brain centers that control memory and learning.

    • Hydrolyzed collagen: keeps structures of the brain healthy so that nutrients may work their mood-boosting magic. In medical procedures, injectable collagen protects neurons damaged by neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.

    • Raw honey: contains the antioxidant compound apigenin, which signals immune responses in the brain and is a biochemical basis for learning and memory.

    • Vanilla extract: yields the phenolic compound vanillin that is known to exhibit neuroprotective support in cases of Huntington’s disease—a genetic condition in which nerve cells progressively deteriorate.
