If one of your favorite fruits isn’t avocado, this healthy protein smoothie may just make an avocado lover out of you. Our Green Avocado Smoothie is rich and creamy, with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and protein provided by one of the most nutrient-dense foods on earth—spirulina 

We included banana and coconut milk to add to the health benefits of this fat-burning shake and imbue it with tropical appeal. Enjoy as a weight-loss smoothie, and be sure to blend one up after an intense workout. The spirulina and healthy fats from the avocado and coconut milk will help your muscles recover more quickly. 

Green Avocado Smoothie

  • 1 avocado, peeled and seed removed
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup evaporated coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons coconut condensed milk
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons spirulina crunchies

Health Benefits

  • Avocados: are filled with healthy fats, but low in cholesterol. They are high in vitamin K, folate, and fiber, and when they are blended into a smoothie, they provide a decadent creaminess.

  • Bananas: are known for their potassium, but their  nutrient profile proves they offer so much more. Bananas are a good source of vitamin C, manganese, vitamin B6, and fiber and when blended into a healthy post-workout shake they add richness and a silky texture.

  • Coconut milk: is one of the more popular plant-based milks because of its light, floral flavor and luscious texture. It’s made up of 93% fats, including MCTs that may benefit weight loss.

  • Spirulina crunchies: are high in protein, antioxidants, B-vitamins, calcium, and iron. While not appropriate for everyone, spirulina has been shown to provide some extraordinary health benefits. In fact, researchers have found that spirulina supplementation significantly increases exercise performance and fat loss.


  1. Place the frozen banana in the base of the blender.
  2. Scoop in the avocado.
  3. Pour the evaporated coconut milk and the condensed coconut milk on top.
  4. Add 3 large ice cubes.
  5. Sprinkle the spirulina crunchies on top.
  6. Secure the lid and blend until smooth and delicious.
  7. Enjoy this healthy green smoothie post-workout or as a mid-afternoon snack.
