Happy Gut Kiwi Smoothie

  • Servings: 1
  • Ready In: 5 minutes

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen bananas, peeled
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon collagen powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons hemp seeds

Health Benefits

  • Strawberries and hemp seeds: are fiber-fueled ingredients perfect for regularizing a stuck, yucky gut. Antioxidants and vitamins C and K in strawberries promote hydration. Insoluble and soluble fibers in hemp seeds and strawberries help bulk up stagnant intestinal waste for elimination ease. Whole hemp seeds, rather than hulled hemp, contain the highest amounts of fiber.

  • Bananas: help heal a leaky, runny gut. A combination of electrolytes and potassium restore balance for improved digestive health.

  • Kiwis and almond milk: demonstrate impressive prebiotic qualities. In particular, kiwis promote the growth of good gut florae faecal lactobacilli and bifidobacteria.

  • Collagen: supports the digestive system by repairing and nourishing the cells that line the intestinal tract.
