  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • Honey to taste
  • Squeeze of lemon
  • 1 tablespoon bee pollen

Health Benefits

  • Oranges: are rich in vitamin C, which aids against oxidative damage to cell structures. Oranges contain more than 60 flavonoids that provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant protection.

  • Butternut squash: features carotenoid phytonutrients that color it orange and act as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents. Butternut squash has the consistency of a potato but fewer calories and carbohydrates per serving.

  • Bananas: are an excellent source of potassium, a mineral that helps maintain blood pressure, a healthy heart, and fluid balance. Bananas have long been touted as an excellent energy source for workouts and endurance activities due to their carbohydrate and electrolyte content.

  • Ginger: possesses gingerol, an anti-inflammatory compound. In clinical studies, ginger has been found to provide pain relief and reduction of swelling. Ginger helps to alleviate gastrointestinal pain and gas and is effective in preventing nausea from motion sickness or pregnancy.

  • Turmeric: is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent thanks to its phytonutrient curcumin. Turmeric is useful in reducing joint pain and promotes optimal liver health.

  • Honey: rich in antioxidants, honey also contains small amounts of vitamins and nutrients including folate, iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

  • Lemons: contain the flavonoid phytonutrients hesperitin and naringenin for heart health. Lemons are a great source of vitamin C to prevent free radical damage.
