  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup butternut squash or yellow squash

Health Benefits

  • Almond milk: low in sugar, almond milk is ideal for those who cannot drink cow’s milk and are lactose intolerant. It’s also a good source of vitamin E, which benefits brain and skin health. Studies have found that vitamin E can reduce the risk and progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

  • Banana: is rich in potassium to help lower blood pressure. Unripe bananas contain a soluble fiber called resistant starch, which can help stabilize blood sugar levels.

  • Pineapple: Pineapple contains bromelain—an enzyme that promotes digestion and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Pineapple also boasts manganese—a cofactor for many enzymes and vital for energy.

  • Butternut squash: is rich in vitamin A for healthy skin and in the antioxidants zeaxanthin and lutein for eyesight.

  • Ginger: is an excellent source of cancer-fighting antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, swelling, bloating, and stomach pain.

  • Turmeric: is an ancient remedy for pain relief and inflammation that helps to reduce arthritis pain.

  • Bee pollen: can be used topically, as the vitamins and amino acids in bee pollen soothe irritated skin. Bee pollen contains digestive enzymes to help you break down food and has antibiotic-like properties to protect against illnesses.

  • Protein powder: promotes satiety, stabilizes blood sugar levels, and contains the essential amino acids you need to help repair muscles and tissues.
