Almond milk: low in sugar, almond milk is ideal for those who cannot drink cow’s milk and are lactose intolerant. It’s also a good source of vitamin E, which benefits brain and skin health. Studies have found that vitamin E can reduce the risk and progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
Banana: is rich in potassium to help lower blood pressure. Unripe bananas contain a soluble fiber called resistant starch, which can help stabilize blood sugar levels.
Pineapple: Pineapple contains bromelain—an enzyme that promotes digestion and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Pineapple also boasts manganese—a cofactor for many enzymes and vital for energy.
Butternut squash: is rich in vitamin A for healthy skin and in the antioxidants zeaxanthin and lutein for eyesight.
Ginger: is an excellent source of cancer-fighting antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, swelling, bloating, and stomach pain.
Turmeric: is an ancient remedy for pain relief and inflammation that helps to reduce arthritis pain.
Bee pollen: can be used topically, as the vitamins and amino acids in bee pollen soothe irritated skin. Bee pollen contains digestive enzymes to help you break down food and has antibiotic-like properties to protect against illnesses.
